Mid-Weight Full-Stack Software Engineer

The role

As a Mid-Weight Full-Stack Developer, you'll build and maintain web applications for a range of client products, working on both front-end and back-end. You'll work closely with account managers, designers, and QA Engineers at every stage of delivery, from defining requirements through to release and ongoing support.

Day to day

What you'll own

The work sits across client products, from the first requirement through to release.

  1. 01Build and maintain web applications and managed products, including front-end interfaces and back-end services
  2. 02Turn product requirement documents (PRDs) into well-built, reliable features
  3. 03Write clean, maintainable, tested code
  4. 04Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude) every day for coding, testing and code review
  5. 05Take ownership of the performance, quality and reliability of what you ship, including troubleshooting and debugging
  6. 06Take part in code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback
  7. 07Balance priorities across several projects, working with colleagues and client stakeholders
  8. 08Contribute ideas to improve development processes and stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices

Your experience

What we're looking for

  1. 01Proven experience as a full-stack developer, working confidently and independently at mid-weight level (5 years+ experience)
  2. 02Demonstrable experience using AI-assisted development tools to deliver projects
  3. 03Strong skills in HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React and Next.js
  4. 04Working knowledge of PostgreSQL (experience with Supabase is a plus)
  5. 05Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
  6. 06Experience writing unit, integration and e2e tests with Jest/Vitest and Playwright
  7. 07Comfortable using Git and working within agile delivery
  8. 08Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  9. 09Clear communication skills and the ability to manage several projects at once
  10. 10A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have

  1. 01Experience of other coding languages, specifically Ruby/Ruby on Rails
  2. 02Experience working with headless CMS platforms (e.g. Sanity CMS, Contentful)
  3. 03Familiarity with event-driven architectures
